Title of Project: A Cross-Generational Study of German Consumers’ Perception of Virtual Reality in the Music Industry

Stage: Successfully concluded in October 2016.

Personal Statement:  “As part of the my working background in Esports, I am always in touch with upcoming digital trends. Media attention and increasing momentum of the Virtual Reality (VR) technology triggered my personal interest and, hence, lay the foundation of research in this uprising area of music and artificial worlds. Implementing VR into Music seems natural to me as Music universally connects mankind and greatly impacts many aspects of our everyday life. Working on a challenging topic is not always like eating lasagne all day long, however, collecting thoughts and impressions from three generations made the investment worthwhile. Being part of is intriguing for me as our findings are shared with the Music community and helps building further research in this exciting area of entertainment. Once again, thanks for Prof. Dr. Francisco Tigre Moura and the team for creating the opportunity to develop the research and to share it!”.
